Kebakaran Pasar Sapi Rejosari Salatiga
Pagi ini, Jumat 26 September 2008, terjadi kebakaran di pasar sapi rejosari salatiga. Kebakaran terjadi pada pagi hari sekitar pukul 4.45 dini hari. Kebakaran itu disinyalir dikarenakan oleh kompor yang meledak. Dimana di tempar tersebut merupakan pusat dari penjualan makana siap saji dan bahan makanan pokok. Seketika itu juga, listrik di sekitar pasar tersebut dipadamkan. Sehingga cukup mengganggu aktivitas masyarakat sekitar. Hanya dua unit mobil pemadam kebakaran yang mencoba memadamkan api sebesar itu. Sehingga, kebakaran tersebut tidak tertolong lagi. Setelah sekitar 2 jam si jago merah akhirnya bisa dipadamkan. Belum diketahui ada korban dalam kebakaran tersebut. Disinyalir kerugian mencapai ratusan juta. Rumor yang beredar bahwa akan terjadi pembangunan di pasar tersebut. Tetapi dinas pasar tidak menyetujui usulan pemerintah karena dituntut biaya sebesar Rp. 6.700.000 per bulan selama 15 tahun untuk membangun pasar tersebut. Biaya itu dikenakan untuk setiap pemilik tempat di pasar tersebut.
